The quiet hamlet of Keyhaven lies just within the borders of the New Forest National Park, famous for its captivating woodland trails. This former fishing village is now a popular destination for tourists - particularly those with a passion for sailing - who enjoy magnificent views of the Solent and towards the Isle of Wight. Keyhaven is home to two sailing clubs and a pub, it’s also part of the Keyhaven Nature Reserve; 500 acres of diverse coastal landscape that includes mudflats and salt marshes, and is habitat for a variety of species, from Barn Owls to brown hares. Visitors to the reserve can follow several different circular walks and footpaths, including the magnificent Solent Way.

The delightful, end of terrace, 4 bedroom, former coastguard cottage, Ruby Cottage (sleeps 6) - with its stunning views across the marshes - offers stylish, dog-friendly accommodation in this pretty hamlet, which is a haven for birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists.
