Pilley is a lovely little cluster of homes and cottages just three miles from the large mariner town of Lymington with its Georgian high street, weekly market, pubs and restaurants. The Lodge is set in the owners’ large garden but offers plenty of privacy. Inside is a bright sunny sitting room with TV and complimentary Netflix subscription. Oakview is located in the little village of Woodgreen in the north of the New Forest, a couple of miles east of the market town of Fordingbridge. If your idea of a lovely holiday is to sit behind a picket fence with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand and watch life go by, then you’ll love Oakview. The south-west facing garden overlooks the village green where the famous New Forest ponies and donkeys (who are common in this part of the forest) gather to nibble grass and pose for photos. Figtree is a popular choice for couples looking for a seaside holiday that’s only a few miles from the National Park woods and heathlands.
