Availability from then through to the end of September has attracted a surge of bookings in recent weeks. The Lymington office team is confirming 40 or more reservations each day, with visitors wanting to make the most out of the British summer. So, come a few weeks, it’s likely there will be a distinct shortage of availability.
There’s been an insatiable demand for larger holiday properties which are now booked for the most popular six weeks of the school holidays. Yet enquiries and bookings the past week or so have seen a shift in demand for accommodation type to 2 – 3 bedroom holiday homes sleeping 4 – 6 guests seeing a steep rise.
Travelzoo surveyed 1366 members who said they planned to take up to three British staycations after lockdown. So, the trend for holiday adventures in the UK looks set to continue for quite a while – until at least, the uncertainty of overseas travel corridors, health insurance, vaccination and quarantine hotels have been resolved.
