Bransgore is a pretty, rural village nestled on the western edge of the New Forest. This flourishing village serves the surrounding communities as a meeting point with its little parade of shops, including a butcher, baker, supermarket, post office, newsagents, pet store and pharmacy.

There are three great pubs in Bransgore, so you don’t have to go far for a slap-up meal. The Three Tuns is a chocolate box, thatched gastropub with regular live events and fabulous beer garden. A little further along the road is The Carpenter’s Arms, a popular local’s pub serving great value pub food, and The Crown which serves yummy, hearty meals and attracts a regular crowd on Monday nights for the pub quiz – you should have a go!

Head towards the nearby village of Sopley and you’ll come across Dan Tanner’s pick your own fruit and veg farm. Produce from here really does taste superiorly different than a supermarket. Come October, the fields turn a blaze of orange for little ones to zip in and pick a pumpkin.

A six mile drive south of Bransgore is the historic market town of Christchurch, home of a magnificent Priory which dates back to the 11th century, and close by, on the large natural harbour, is Mudeford Quay. This is an excellent spot to enjoy the simple pleasures of crabbing, or you can jump on the little ferry boat to Mudeford Spit. Spend a day or two bathing and basking on powdery white, soft sand on which rows of pastel coloured beach huts stand.

Amazing experience!! We were a group of four adults and three young children looking for something to do on a rainy Sunday. We found the Deer Safari and thought it looked incredible... it did not disappoint. Our guide was so knowledgeable and put in so much effort even though no one else turned up for the safari. We got to hand feed the deer from the trailer and see one of the stags swimming across the lake! I cannot recommend this enough. Beautiful.
