What to see and do during July and August 2022 in the New Forest
There’s so much to keep friends and family entertained on holiday in the New Forest National Park this summer, with everything from fun-filled free days out to award-winning attractions. 1st – 3rd July: Rag City Festival
Bring friends and family to a buzzing weekend in Damerham near Fordingbridge to listen to a posse of undiscovered and unsigned music artists. Enjoy the live music, some great food and drink and a relaxed, chilled atmosphere that everyone will enjoy.

15th – 17th July: Lymington Seafood Festival

This hugely successful festival celebrating all that’s good to eat from our coastline is back for another year of culinary delights. Go for some of the best artisan food and drink from the region, coupled with markets stalls, cooking demos, live music and oodles of entertainment.

26th – 28th July: The New Forest and Hampshire County Show

Head to New Park in Brockenhurst to see this much-loved agricultural event mixed with a good dollop of entertainment for the whole family. With a history spanning over 100 years, the show attracts more than a 100,000 visitors every year, who flock to see main ring events, livestock, crafts, food and drink, live music, and learning about farming and countryside traditions.

30th July – 5th August: Cowes Week

Cowes Week is one of the best known and longest-running regattas in the world. Expect over 40 daily sailing races, over 1,000 boats and more than 8,000 competitors. You’ll see leisure sailors, Olympic and world-class professionals all battling it out on the waves of The Solent. Lymington will host a party atmosphere, and the coastal village of Milford on Sea is a great place to see all the action.

6th August: Stompin on the Quomps

Stompin on the Quomps is in the historic, picturesque town of Christchurch on the Hampshire/Dorset border. This annual jazz festival is held on a grassy area next to a pretty river with pleasure boats passing by and the magnificent 11th-century Priory as a backdrop. So bring a bottle of bubbly, a blanket and a comfy camp chair for an afternoon and evening of toe-tapping live jazz and soul music with plenty of food and drink vendors in case you get hungry.

19th – 20th August: Exbury Gardens Festival of Music
Come as you are, or don your best ABBA, Elton John or Queen outfit and join the party and sing along to the live music of these three triumphant and eternally popular bands in the surreally beautiful location of Exbury Gardens.
