Packed full with delicious days out and some of the biggest names in music (and a little bit of fairy dust for good measure), the New Forest festival scene has never been more vibrant.

4th – 11th August Cowes Week (not strictly Lymington…)

One of the UK’s key sporting events and famous all over the world, Cowes Week takes place every August. Enjoy the mesmerising sight of thousands of boats as they compete in this prestigious event. The atmosphere is one of fun and excitement; competitive sailing mingled with a vivacious social scene back on land, generated by around 8,500 competitors and at least 100,000 visitors! Stay close by and watch from the many vantage points close to Lymington.

11th – 12th August New Forest Fairy Festival, Burley

For little children to retiree’s and every age between, this bewitching festival is so much fun! Tutu’s, pointy ears, elf costumes and oodles of fairy wings are all the rage for wannabe fairies, elves and pixie folk. Or, just come as you are and smile at the outfits! Expect music, workshops, a healing zone, magical stalls, food and lots more, all with a magical theme – watch out for the sprinkling of magic fairy dust!

11th – 12th August Lymington Seafood Festival

A must see 2-day event with over 70 food and drink stalls celebrating the areas scrumptious harvest from the sea. Stop, look and taste offerings from artisan producers offering mouth-watering treats to take back to your cottage! Have no fear if fishy fare isn’t your thing as there are plenty of meat, veggie and sweet options on hand.

11th August The Ellingham & Ringwood Agricultural Society Annual Show, Somerley Nr Ringwood

A must for those wishing to experience a quintessentially English day in the countryside. There are events, shows, collections and displays for all ages and interests revealing how locals live the rural life in this beautiful pocket of the south coast. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to purchase handicrafts, home-made produce and, of course, there will be a beer tent and plenty of live music.
