The world-famous 5-star deluxe hotel has teamed up with the popular TV Chef James Martin to offer ‘The Kitchen’. Its swanky Bistro interior has an open kitchen, and the cookery school is in full view behind a glass wall. The food is upmarket pizza, burgers and tasty tapas that will appeal to almost every palette – including picky eaters. Take a stroll around the grounds after and see if you can spot any celebrities.

A fantastic family-friendly pub with great food. Inside The Rockingham Arms are deep comfy sofas and plenty of seating. The menus are well thought out and delicious. The children’s menu features all the favourites – tomato pasta, bangers and mash, fish and chips and more. After you’ve eaten, pop into the pub’s very own Rockingham Shop stocked to the rafters with ideas for presents, trinkets and gifts to take home. The pub is also very close to Paultons Park – home of Peppa Pig.

The Mayflower is a sure bet for families with an enormous beer garden, terrace and children’s play area. Food is more on the upmarket gastro side (yum!) and for the more simple palate is ‘The Little Sailors’ menu featuring favourites such as hot dogs with cheesy baked beans and fries and mac’ n’ cheese with green salad.

vant. Not only is the pub as pretty as a postcard, but the food and drink are divine and utterly delicious. Their ‘Little Tummies’ menu features the usual ‘Yes Please’ dishes. But that menu soon becomes much bigger when you include side plates of dirty fries, mac’ n’ cheese and fish finger sandwiches, pizzas and burgers from the main menu. They also (and we don’t know why every pub doesn’t have this) have a really good alcohol free drinks list!
