Big Holiday Cottages in the New Forest and Why to Book Them

Thatchby-Oak

With airport queues, the possibility of strikes and too many ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’, holidaying at home in the UK continues to be a popular choice. But larger holiday properties that can accommodate groups of friends, big families and grandparents are getting harder to find. It’s wise to book as early as you can, especially around the popular school and bank holiday dates. There are lots of advantages to booking a large holiday home, and New Forest Cottages have a great choice of properties in and around the National Park.

Why book a big holiday cottage? It’s much cheaper per person than booking separate places to stay. There will be space to sprawl and relax in each other’s company and spend quality time together, making memories and sharing fun times. It’s much easier for childcare. And older and younger generations will have space to sleep in peace and grab some alone time.

Many larger properties have added entertainment options such as swimming pools, hot tubs, and games rooms. Plus, of course, huge gardens for outdoor games, swings, playhouses, and space for your four-legged furry friends to run about – you wouldn’t want to leave them at home if you are holidaying in the New Forest as the region is so dog-friendly.

If you can’t find a single large New Forest cottage perfect or your group, the other option is to find separate cottages close to each other or adjoining holiday homes so you can quickly get together. This may even work out better for some, such as those with older friends and family wanting their own dedicated space.

We’ve selected some of our big New Forest holiday cottages from budget-friendly to luxury – check out their reviews!
