In fact, this cottage has an abundance of windows in all shapes and sizes which provide beautiful views and Mother Nature’s seasonal soundtrack. A carefully chosen palette of natural hues and warm solid floors weaves through each of the charming rooms. In the lounge, a large brick fireplace crowned by a vast chunk of oak houses a log burner to snuggle beside when the nights are crisp and cold.
Amber tones in the wood and slate kitchen creates a welcoming vibe, which coupled with modern appliances make for an easy life when staying at 1 Rose Cottage. The kitchen has generous windows overlooking woodland, trees and the cottage garden, so a few minutes pottering here would hardly feel a chore. The dining room continues to showcase this cottage’s excellent craftsmanship. Think of long lazy meals around a painted oak dining table, with French doors flung open to let the outside in.

It is dressed in crisp white linens, accentuated with colourful cushions which complement cottagey rose curtains. The large twin bedroom has zesty lemons and sunshine yellows painted on accent walls, crafty bunting, pencil pleat curtains and two vintage style cream metal beds.
Outside is an unexpected treat of kaleidoscopic shapes, shades and texture in a lovingly-tendered garden. It’s a blissful area of beauty and tranquillity, with a pretty half-moon thatched summer house, where guests can gather to chat about their days exploring the New Forest.
