The days are still warm and long for a fun day out enjoying the regions festivals. Here’s our pick of the best events in the New Forest this September…

Beaulieu International Auto Jumble 7th – 8th September

If you can’t make it to the USA, then come to Beaulieu as it’s the second biggest International Autojumble in the world. Pick up rare parts, elusive finds, literature, tools and clothing for vintage and classic cars and vehicles from over 2000 stands. Entry tickets include entry to the National Motor Museum, Palace House, Beaulieu Abbey and World of Top Gear.

New Forest Marathon 8th September

This annual marathon attracts crowds eager to complete half and full marathon routes, as well as 10k and 5k races, plus a junior race and woodland walk. The atmosphere is a party vibe with live music, children’s area and plenty of food and drink options.

Southampton Boat Show 13th – 22nd September

Join the millionaires and billionaires to view beautiful vessels and stunning boats at the UK’s biggest boat show, celebrating its 50th anniversary. There are lots of stalls, music, eating and drinking – it’s a great day out, even if you haven’t got a few million pounds to spend.

Romsey Show 14th September

A lovely country show for all the family, and the largest one day show of its class in the country. Plentiful stalls, animals to view and see on parade for the coveted rosettes and prize places. There are numerous displays, stunt riders and, of course, lots of music, entertainment, food and drink.

Solent Music Festival 16th – 22nd September

Now in its seventh year, The Solent Music Festival is held in Lymington. It’s a must for lovers of classical music and world-class performances from famous acts and those that should be famous!

Salisbury Food and Drink Festival 29th September

Go along to sample bountiful food and drink stalls. There will be the usual wine tastings and live food demonstrations along with a collection of live music acts. The festival lasts all week with gastro events and foodie discoveries including foraging, treasure hunts and eateries large and small joining in with festival dishes and special menus.
