We stayed there a couple of months back and know it was more than suitable for our latest visit. It was a great location for my son's graduation at Bournemouth. The Hare and Hounds was our regular place for an evening meal and the food was really good. The local shop had everything we needed and the local cafe was great for a nice coffee and afternoon cake. Most places were dog friendly which was great for our 11 year old golden retriever. The only one thing that was odd is that the Silver Hind closed at 9.30 p.m. It was the same the last time we went, so we took the trouble of the longer walk to the Hare and Hounds which we knew had a good menu, a relaxing atmosphere and welcomed us all. It's a shame that Heron House is up for sale. If I was in a good position I would buy it myself.
Cottage is very well furnished, very comfortable , with excellent equipment and utensils.
It was better than I expected
Ye sit was brilliant. The house was spotless and so well equipped. It was one of those places where you feel that everything was done to make the guests comfortable.
Lovely stay had everything you could possibly want and more, also very clean. Shame about the weather.
We enjoyed our stay. The accomodation was spacious and comfortable and well equipped with many thoughtful 'extra' items (e.g. Insect repellents, wide range of leaflets on local attractions, cookery books and books about the local area)
Helen house met our every need. Extremely well appointed and thoughtful additions.
Fantastic house, complete 'home from home'. Very comfortable and beautifully provisioned. Awesome location. We had a lovely week.
Booked this place in March 2016 to celebrate family birthdays in October. Family consisted of 5 adults and one 6 month old. No problem with booking, or paying on line. Subsequently rang the Office and asked for a high chair for the little one. "No problem" said the girl on the phone. On arrival found a clean and reputable one in place. Heron House, is one of the best places we have stayed in. I don't think anything was overlooked, and would certainly come back to NFC and Heron House. Just one, very minor thing, the draining board is in the wrong position in the corner, but this won't stop me giving the cottage 10/10.
In 20 years of going on self catering holidays, we found Heron House to be the best equipped cottage in our experience. The beds were very comfortable too!
Heron House was without doubt the cleanest, best equipped holiday property we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot!) It's a real home-from-home and a delight to come back to at the end of a long day. We loved staying there. Thank you!
Well appointed holiday home. Comfortable, clean and a good base to explore!
Superb house - ideal for the family. Wonderfully equipped and comfortable
Excellent accommodation in a superb location. We have enjoyed every aspect of staying here.
