Our holiday could not have been any more enjoyable, it was excellent. The cottage is ideally located close to the railway station (3 minute walk), garage for morning paper (3 minute walk) and the village centre (5-10 minute walk). Parking was easy. The cottage was spotless and very homely. The railway memorabilia gives it a nice railway feel without over-doing it. The cake and flowers on arrival was a nice friendly touch by the owners. We cannot fault the place and intend coming back soon.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Flowers, chocolates and a delicious cake to welcome us on arrival, and particularly useful milk in the fridge.
Damson cottage was probably the best holiday cottage we have stayed in and we wanted to move in. Everything was perfect and the owners are so thoughtful providing many of the essential items. Beds were super comfortable and decor was pretty. We loved the accessibility to the town and also to the trains. Wild pony was at the gate waiting for us when we arrived !
A lovely cottage, ideally placed both for the village and the railway station. The owners provided some very thoughtful touches, a delicious cake, some chocolates and as it was Easter they even provided an Easter egg hunt for the children which was really appreciated. The cottage is well equipped, nicely decorated and the garden is lovely. The cottage is situated in a quiet road and we had a very lovely stay.
We were dighted with our choice of Damson Cottage and would recommend to friends and fAmily
Great cottage with a magical garden which just made the holiday even better.
Beautifully decorated cottage with a lovely and warm feel. Excellently equipped. A short walk to the village and train station, yet very quiet. Perfect location to explore the new forest. Owners kind and helpful. Stayed there over a longer period and can highly recommend Damson Cottage to others.
This was an excellent property. With homely touches. Would recommend it to friends and family.
A beautiful, well equipped cottage which was a delight to stay in. The forest is one of the most beautiful places in the country. Didn't want to leave.
Fantastic house, could not have asked for more from the owners. Would recommend and come again
Such a lovely cottage, thank you for the gorgeous home made cake and chocolates that welcomed us so warmly. Brilliantly equipped cottage, fantastic holiday.
Beautiful cottage, loved that horses came up the street. Fantastic week with perfect location.
Well-equipped cottage, ideal as a base for exploring the New Forrest. We took our 7 month old daughter and had enough room for grandparents to also stay at the weekend. The garden is lovely and the bathroom is very spacious and modern. One allocated parking spot is provided but there are other spaces on the street for a second car. Brockenhurst amenities are also very close – 2 minute walk. Would recommend the cottage to others.
Lovely owners made us feel very welcome with home made cake and chocolate on arrival. Immaculately clean throughout and superbly equipped. The best cottage we have stayed in, definitely recommend. This street had daily visits from the cows, donkeys and ponys and was a wonderful way to experience the new forest in comfort. Thank you for letting us stay.
